Everybody wants to be a part of some kind of community, be surrounded by people who have common with themselves. But, it's never been easy to build a community that relevant, friendly and supportive. Moreover, it is more challenging than ever since Covid-19 hit the world.


3 channels to stay connected with your plastic-free community

The plastic-free community in HCMC has always been well known for its active scene with a variety of events, festivals, seminars throughout the year. However, with the Covid-19 situation, people in this community are now headed online to connect with one another.

1/ NPO & NGO - Non Profit/ Governmental Organization

Change: an NPO based in HCMC which was founded in 2017 to promote environmental conservation through education, creative communication that encourage behavioral change and inspire the Vietnamese community to take action.


And they haven't stopped the mission even with  the pandemic. Throughout lockdown, Change Facebook Page has created non-stop competition, online mini-challenges in order to connect with their community, from drawing, photographing to environmental quizzes and even code competition.

2/ Your School/ Local Environmental Club

You don't have to join a big organization or participate in these massive competitions and events to start your plastic-free journey. 
Just start small! Join local clubs in your school, neighborhood.

3/ Build Your Own Community

If you can not find a club or organization in your local area, be the one who creates that community. 
Let's educate and encourage the people around you  to take action for the environment and pursuit a plastic-free lifestyle.
